From 1977 to 2025

A note from our Owner, Brook Nullmeyer

My grandfather started Nullmeyer Painting & Decorating in 1977, with my father starting Keen & Kleen Student Painters in 1986 in Barrie, Ontario.

After spending many summers painting as a kid, I took a step back from the painting industry and attended business school in 2016 followed by 5 years in Toronto working in Sales & Marketing.

In summer of 2020, I was ready to go back to my roots in painting and started Third Generation Painters in Thornbury, Ontario, about 45 minutes north of Barrie.

Starting in January 2023, I decided to set permanent roots in The Silver Star Foothills with the goal of servicing the Greater Vernon area. As of spring 2026, I have built two teams of 2-3 painters with plans to continue to add on more crews in the coming years.

As a former competitive skier, it had always been a dream of mine to live full-time in the mountains.

Both my father & grandfather have passed away, and we operate independently of prior operations.
