You'll be without cabinet doors for part of the project, but the kitchen stays usable throughout. We'll walk through a realistic timeline during the estimate so you can plan around it.
Most wood and MDF cabinets refinish beautifully, and that covers the majority of kitchens in the area. Thermofoil cabinets, laminate with damaged surfaces, or boxes with serious structural issues are harder cases and sometimes aren't worth the investment. We'll take a look during the estimate and give you an honest answer on whether your specific cabinets are a good candidate, there's no point in refinishing cabinets that should really be replaced.
With proper prep and the right Benjamin Moore cabinet coating, a refinished cabinet holds up to daily use just as well as a new one. Cared for normally, it should look great for many years before it needs attention again.
